Key Responsibilities
Manage the full process of various types of employee leaves (medical, disability, parental, personal, etc.), including administrative support for CNESST and SAAQ files, in compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation.
Act as the subject matter expert on leaves, supporting P&C Partners with technical expertise, tools, and guidance.
Collaborate closely with P&C Partners, who own the relationship with business leaders, to ensure seamless communication and manager support.
Ensure full alignment with Corporate Benefits programs and guidelines; liaise with the Corporate Benefits team as needed.
Handle the enrollment of new employees in the group benefits program, and process updates or changes to employee files as needed.
In partnership with the Employee Experience Advisor, act as a point of contact for employees regarding group benefits, answering basic questions and redirecting more complex inquiries to the Total Rewards department.
Maintain detailed records and case documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
Partner with third-party vendors (e.g., insurers, CNESST, occupational health teams) to ensure timely processing and follow-up on claims.
Coordinate return-to-work planning, in collaboration with P&C Partners and other stakeholders, ensuring appropriate accommodations when needed.
Work with Payroll to ensure correct adjustments and payments related to leave cases.
Monitor trends and provide regular reporting and analysis of leave data and KPIs to the HR Director Canada and the Compensation & Benefits Manager.
Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing updates to processes, tools, and communication materials related to leaves.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on leave or disability management, or related employee support functions.
In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment standards and provincial leave legislation (e.g., ESA, CNESST, QPIP, EI).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across levels.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
Experience with HRIS (Workday) and case management systems.
Bilingualism (English and French)
