The Occupational Health Nurse offers Occupational Health Services to all employees, including education, promotion of positive health models, treatment of illness and injury, and follow-up of ill and injured workers.HOURS:Full-time (30 hours per week), day shift, Monday-Friday:* Provide primary care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, including effective nursing assessment skills, preparation of care plan and treatment* Case management, referral and preparation of Return to Work Plan, as indicated* Maintain an accurate, timely and premium record keeping system* Provide medical monitoring and surveillance for workers* Identify health needs for workers, develop objectives, and implement programs in health promotion, maintenance and rehabilitation* Participate in Wellness Programs appropriate to the needs of the employee workforce* Cooperate with and act as a resource to the appropriate personnel in developing and maintaining a safe work environment* Evaluate the nursing service provided for appropriateness and effectivenessEducation & Experience:* Previous experience in Occupational Health Nursing* Registered Nurse – in good standing with the College of Nurses of Quebec* Diploma (DOHN) and/or Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-C) an asset* Current Certifications in CPR and First AidSkills & :* Participate in professional nursing organizations and assume responsibility for professional growth and development* Proficient in computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Electronic Medical Records* Ability to work in a cooperative/ collaborative manner to achieve a desired result* Demonstrated problem solving abilities* Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of responsibility* Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy, and communication skills* Must be fully bilingual in French & English
