It reminds each one of us that what we do matters.Medicentres is currently looking for Family Physicians (General Practitioners) for clinics in Ontario (London, Windsor, Richmond Hill, East Gwillimbury & Newmarket) AND in Alberta (Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge) AND in Manitoba (Winnipeg & Stonewall) for various flexible practice opportunities (Casual, Locum, Part-time, Full-time) with no Minimum shift requirements.PositionDescription and Responsibilities/Duties:Examine patients and their historiesOrder laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic proceduresConsult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental healthPrescribe and administer medications and treatmentsProvide acute care managementVaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseasesAdvise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident preventionProvide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues and perform patient advocacyOther services and scope of practice as per Physician preference KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Doctor of Medicine degree from recognized University.Current registration with the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in which the candidate will be work and be a member in good standing.Current liability insurance through Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or acceptable alternativeMaintains current and appropriate college membership as regulated under the Regulated Health Professions Act,1991Compensation:Compensationmodel is based on Fee For Services funding model with the cost of overhead being calculated as a split of the gross paid billings.

Medicentres offers a competitive split which includes all costs (including and not limited to EMR costs, staffing, facility, PPE, supplies, equipment, etc.) which is based on the Physician commitment (eg weekly hours, length of commitment, hours of coverage, etc.).
