AUXILIARY NURSE “New graduates or retirees are welcomed” Temp position
– Part time (15h/week) position to fill 1 code RH21-33 Location in Dorval Montreal deadline to apply october 23rd, 2021 Required Presence at the covid19 screening clinic on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7.30am to 12pm and every third Wednesday from 5.00am to 11.00am in Miramichi (round trip day flight).

Working hours are subject to change with notice based on flight schedules and operation needs.

Summary of responsibilities Reporting to the Occupational Heath Advisor, the Nurse’s responsibilities include the following: Triage (questionnaire, Covid-19 screening (nasopharyngeal swab or saliva sample, temperature monitoring of passengers in the flight terminals: Montreal and Miramichi (with departure from Montreal) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Performing various tasks in the terminal: identification of the samples, coordinating shipments to the laboratory, surveillance of hand hygiene, teaching about preventative measures and mask wearing, etc.

Assisting in the management of personal protective equipment for passengers.

Performing certain administrative tasks and any other related tasks.

Requirements Hold a professional studies diploma (DEP) in Health, assistance, and nursing care (SASI); or Benefit from a diploma or training recognition; and Pass the professional examination of the OIIAQ Valid driver’s license.

Workplace first aid certification, or equivalent.

Functional bilingualism (French and English).

Skills sought Predominance of compliance with health, safety and environmental rules and directives.

Being autonomous, responsible, taking reasonable initiatives, managing stress and ambiguities.

Ability to work alone and in a team effectively.

Planning and organizational skills.

Good physical fitness.

Ability to make quick decisions, influence, act as an agent of change and apply best clinical judgment in relation to a medical situation.
