They will be responsible for initiating new business relationships and capitalizing on these leads.

The Pharmaceutical BD Representative is focused on growing the number of new clients that Ashfield Engage supports across all Ashfield Engage Services.This is an individual with a true “hunter” mentality and a consistent drive to ensure their monthly objectives are met or exceeded.The Pharmaceutical BD Representative will be reporting into the Senior Director, Business Development.

Key Objectives:Contact new business leads focusing on growing the number of clients that Ashfield Engage supports across all Ashfield Engage services and provide minimal support to early growth organizations.Leverage available business analytics and insights, as well as external sources, toconduct business horizon scanning and develop Account plans that maximize value for AshfieldEngage and our clientsTrack and communicate progress against account plans and harness the broader power of Ashfield Engage to address account plan challengesIdentify and cultivate relationships with potential clients in alignment with Account Plans and build a pipeline of new business to establish, as well as opportunities for further growth within existing client accountsAnalyse and determine the needs of clients, develop strategies and action plans for revenue growth and profitability within assigned servicesAssist in preparation and presentation Ashfield Engage capabilities to secure new partnerships and further growth within existing accounts, and partner with Ashfield Engage Specialist Area Leaders to close opportunitiesPrepare quotes and proposals for assigned Ashfield servicesGeneral knowledge of Ashfield Engage services and recognize opportunities to bring in subject matter experts where necessary to engage and address client challenges/opportunitiesIn partnership with Business Development, Finance and legal, initiate the process of new MSA’s and proposals,Become an active, engaged and valuable member of the BD team resulting in team wins and client developmentContinue to oversee accounts and grow accounts in their early growth until an Account Executive is assigned to an accountProvide feedback on such issues as competitors, marketing initiatives, market conditions and recent successes.Partner with Account Executives to transition accounts, when appropriate, and ensure a seamless hand-off of new client relationships Job Holder Specification:University Bachelor’s Degree or higherFluently Bilingual in French and English (oral and written)Sales or Account Management experience is an assetExperience in selling services that align to Ashfields Service Offerings is an assetHighly energetic with a ‘can-do’ attitudePrevious cold calling experience is an assetTrack record of meeting or exceeding set goalsDemonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long lasting relationships with senior client buyersAbility to take a vision, translate into an actionable plan and executeExcellent negotiation and communication skills (oral and written)Ability to deliver engaging presentationsStrong business acumen, driven and results-orientedHigh Emotional Intelligence and Interpersonal IQSelf-starter, resourceful, and self-motivatedStrong Microsoft Office knowledge and analyticalStrong Computer literacy and tech savvy
