In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Plan and coordinate terminal operations (Vessel & Rail – loading / discharge).
  • Maintain productivity through efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and storage areas.
  • Supervise your team outdoor as well.
  • Ensure that health & safety, environmental and security practices are strictly adhered to.
  • Propose areas for quality improvement and productivity.
  • Contribute to improve the customer service quality.

To Succeed, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Logistics/Transportation or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in logistics operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years in management of unionized employees.
  • Strong organizational abilities and ability to prioritize workload.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to take independent decisions with a high degree of responsibility.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Positive attitude, highly developed leadership.
    • Ability to work outdoors and on various shifts to oversee operations.
    • Excellent knowledge of standard business software’s.
    • Bilingualism, both oral and written (French and English) – job related.
