With the extensive, wide-ranging expertise within our company, you’ll also have countless opportunities to learn and grow.The RoleIn this role, you’ll work in a team environmental to prepare electrical engineering designs and related documents.

You will work on assigned projects under the guidance of an Intermediate to Senior Engineer while collaborating with engineers and designers from other disciplines.

Working in a team environment, you will ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and up to high quality standards.You will gain valuable experience in power distribution, standby generation, process control systems, as well as interior and exterior lighting.

You will be expected to assist in creating and performing changes to AutoCAD drawings.This position provides an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to work with a highly experienced multi-disciplinary group of engineers to gain experience while working towards obtaining their Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license.Your Key Responsibilities:AutoCAD draftingDesign LV / MV voltage electrical distribution, control systems, motor control center or switchgear layouts and elevationsBackup generator sizing to accommodate process operationFamiliarity with substation design, protection and control systems, short-circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting and dynamic studies will be an assetAttend Site inspections for drawing compliance or data gatheringPreparation of preliminary drawings, equipment technical specification, detail design and associated construction drawingsAbout YouTo fill the role, we’re looking for an applicant bringing forward a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences.

Sc.) will be considered an assetRegistered (or eligible to become registered) with APEGSStrong understanding of electrical machines and power systems theoryExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong computer skills (MS Office).
