intermediate designer interior


This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted September 13, 2018.


Passionate about architecture and design, the interior designer will be called upon to work on prestigious and major projects in Montreal’s commercial sector. He/she will need to work in a transdisciplinary team and apply his/her skills to carrying out the following tasks:

  • Obtain the information pertinent to the project;
  • Identify constraints, analyze solutions and actively communicate with the project team;
  • Validate the conditions of the project site(s);
  • Elaborate a design concept strategy in line with the project objectives;
  • Prepare preliminary plans;
  • Develop design concepts by consulting our in-house materials library and our documentation centre, as well as online catalogues and resources, to identify and specify projects’ finishes, fixtures, furniture etc… and prepare mood boards and presentations to the client;
  • Support the 3D team in the preparation of information necessary to producing 3D perspectives.
  • Prepare construction documents and specifications while maintaining the integrity of the CAD directory and its structure, in compliance with industry standards;
  • Coordinate the project during the construction period.


  • College or bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture;
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience at an architectural or interior design firm;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and professional knowledge in REVIT;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite;
  • Fluent in French and English, spoken and written;
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, finishes, decorative elements, furniture, lighting and furniture;
  • Professional knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign;
  • Ability to manage priorities and schedules efficiently;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for teamwork;
  • Ability to work independently, with a sense of organization.
