Summary of the job position:

Office-Based technician with ENERCON wind turbine field experience (electrical or electromechanical expertise). This role provides real time technical support for service technicians in order to improve quality and efficiency of service activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized technical support to Field Service Technicians.
  • Ensure continuous technical improvements through resolution of faults/warnings.
  • Advise and implement work instructions.
  • Maintain up-to-date specialized knowledge of technical instructions (ex. TSIs).
  • Troubleshoot ENERCON’s growing fleet of wind turbines in Canada.
  • Send professional correspondence.
  • Validate international work instructions for the Canadian market (ex. TSIs).
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting to technicians to resolve serial issues.
  • Analyze, prioritize and resolve the technical problems impacts on turbines (cost, lost production, time)
  • Review and approve scheduled work beyond scheduled maintenance.
  • Provide technical reports.

 

Your qualifications:

  • Vocational or College diploma, electrical or electromechanical.
  • Three years minimum of experience as a technician within ENERCON
  • Good knowledge of: electrical and mechanical maintenance on ENERCON WECs, ENERCON technical documentation (TSI, TSS, ISI), electrical code and log out tag out process.
  • Ability to network and collaborate across functions in different organizations.
  • Competent in professional communication of technical nature – group presentations to blue/white collar.
  • Proactive, demonstrates confidence and promotes teamwork.
  • Analytical and problem solving aptitudes to understand and clarify complex technical issues.
  • Competent in both French and English.
  • Occasional travel required in Canada and Germany
