Senior Account Manager, Commercial Banking, Transport and Logistics Group

A career in the Commercial Banking sector at National Bank means helping us become the bank of choice of entrepreneurs. As a Senior Account Manager, Commercial Banking, Transport and Logistics Group, you will work to create this new segment and be responsible for growing the specialized portfolio of business clients in this industry.

Your varied and complex tasks will help you to quickly develop the skills needed to guide your clients in all their financial projects and be a leading expert in the industry.

The position is based in Montreal, but you may be called upon to travel across the province of Quebec.

Your role

  • Draw up business development plans
  • Actively participate in various networking activities (cocktails, conferences, fairs, etc.)
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your commercial client base, and establish business development strategies
  • Help your clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services
  • Meet clients’ changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and your advisory approach
  • Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients while making sure that they meet risk management standards and profitability criteria
  • The candidate must be able to identify risks inherent to Personal and Commercial Banking activities

This position reports to the Associate Vice-President, Transport and Logistics Group. The specialized team was recently created in order to meet the growing needs of Commercial Banking clients and increase our market share.

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in sales and business development
  • Network of professional contacts with medium-sized and large businesses in the transportation and logistics industry
  • Experience in complex commercial credit
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
