Product Owner & Business Analyst


This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted June 16, 2022.

We are seeking a superstar business analyst to work with a high-performance team and help the delivery of analytics and BI projects. You will be at the centre of the CoE efforts to help improve the Global Retail & Services team’s efficiency and to generate value for the business.


  • Liaise with business units and internal stakeholders, from the demand intake up to the hand-off of the solution to the business 
  • Work in coordination with the business units and the analytics team in an agile way to deliver on identified initiatives
  • Lead the scoping and prioritization exercise for the initiatives
  • Perform the current state assessment and document the future state (e.g. personas, user stories and KPI definition) on the appropriate tool (e.g. Jira, MURAL or Menti)
  • Design, build and lead workshops to gather necessary information that will guide the development of the future-state solution
  • In collaboration with the data visualization specialist, present reporting navigation recommendations based on workshops findings/output
  • Engage in overall project support activities by assuming project owner responsibilities, maintaining the project backlog and managing the backlog development team priorities
  • Support the development team in the achievement of their sprint goals by acting as a facilitator when needed
  • With the collaboration of the scrum master, lead the sprint planning, sprint review and manage/plan the sprint backlogs


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, business management, business analysis, finance or a related field
  • Three to five years of business analyst experience
  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to manage information, data and correspondence at multiple levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally with stakeholders, including VPs and EVPs
  • Problem-solver with critical thinking skills, including an aptitude to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic organization
  • Highly motivated to work in an open team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement and innovation mindset


  • Experience with Jira, MS Power BI, MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, DevOps, SQL, data visualization, machine learning or artificial intelligence

The selected candidate can work in Montréal or Sherbrooke.
