Structural assemblers

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted January 30, 2019.

Our client, a renowned company located in Ville Saint Laurent, is looking for structural assemblers for a term of several months.


  • Read and interpret manufacturing and installation plans, plan, sketch patterns of various shapes, cut, shape, assemble and adjust pieces of metal sheet and plate or any other form used in structure and assembly.
  • Carry out all necessary operations for the assembly, adjustment, repair, modification and installation of all types of electromechanical and hydraulic mechanical parts and / or assemblies, manufacture parts and make complex adjustments.
  • Assemble, align and install the visual components required for the assembly and installation of the mirror restraint system; install the mirror itself (including the vacuum control system of the mirror to seal the vacuum effectively) and perform the measurements and adjustments required by the visual systems according to the conditions, criteria and details required for the position.

  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics and electromechanical assembly diagrams.
  • Crimp different types of wires and cables of various dimensions using different contacts, lugs and splices.
  • Install cables, wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies according to markers, cabling diagrams and cabinet drawings.
  • Build wiring harnesses according to drawing, schematic and work procedure requirements (routing boards).
  • Perform the mechanical assembly of avionics parts with the help of drawings, progens etc.
  • Perform soldering work according to work procedures and drawing and schematic standards and requirements.
  • Perform manual or mechanical braiding according to work order requirements.
  • Assemble, adjust and install parts or prefabricated elements (assemblies, hydraulic or mechanical systems) on electromechanical systems.
  • Modify or adjust complex or small electromechanical parts.
  • Be familiar with precision standards.
  • Be familiar with occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • DEP in aeronautical sheet metal work or in aircraft structure mounting or equivalence.
  • Any other combination equivalent to the required qualifications will be considered.
  • A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
