Network Operation Center Director

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 2, 2021.

Reporting to the Vice President, Network Exploitation and Customer experience, the Manager, Network Operations is responsible for oversight of Network Operations activities.  The Manager is accountable for optimal network availability of FLO and third parties charging network infrastructure which represent 45000 charging stations across Canada and US.  This function includes the acceptance testing, commissioning, network maintenance and performance. The Manager, Network Operations works with engineering and operations teams for the ongoing and continued network performance optimization and improvement.

BY JOINING OUR TEAM, YOU WILL

  • Oversee the Network Operations activities performed internally
  • Oversee the preparation of NOCC and equipment installations 
  • Validate, modify and execute network acceptance test plans and sign off on acceptance testing of network infrastructure components 
  • Develop and oversee execution of network maintenance schedules 
  • Work with R&D for ongoing development of network performance proactive monitoring. 
  • Perform trend analysis to identify problems before a significant incident occurs
  • Work with Customer onboarding team to oversee the implementation of equipment
  • Analyze and verify the network performance reports and information 
  • Make recommendations and execute changes to improve the overall performance of the network operations function 

ABOUT YOU

  • 10 years’ experience in various aspects of network operations including: Network Operations Control Centre; Network maintenance or operation. 
  • Critical skills: communication, problem solving, decision making, analytical 
  • Ability to quickly assess a complex situation; to assimilate critical, sometimes limited information and determine a course of action. 
  • Communication in French and / or English 
  • Experience managing a team of technicians 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a diploma in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering Technology
