Medical Secretary

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted July 31, 2018.

The medical secretary works closely with the clinical staff and is responsible for performing secretarial and administrative duties for the dermatology clinic.


  • Answers phone calls and take messages on voicemail;
  • Manages appointments using the computer system: schedules appointments and handles confirmations and cancellations;
  • Prepares the clinic for opening: takes out the patient files and prepares them;
  • Greets patients and visitors;
  • Opens and files patient files;
  • Guides the patients to their appointment room and cleans the rooms between each patient;
  • Ensures the identification of patient samples and monitor samples;
  • Manages the documents to be given to the patient at the end of the consultation and manages the payments;
  • Prepares the clinic rooms at the end of the day for the following day (cleanliness, availability of equipment);
  • Manages mail and parcels.


  • Diploma of professional studies in secretarial work;
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience as a medical secretary;
  • Good communication skills in French and English (functional);
  • Computer and office knowledge: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet;
  • Demonstrates great professionalism and is customer service oriented;
  • Good multitasker and team player;
  • Autonomous and organized;
  • Dynamic, proactive and solution-oriented.
