Medical Office Receptionist s required for Souffle au Coeur, Glenora Children’s Heart & Echo Clinic An opportunity for 2 part time receptionists in a community pediatric specialty clinic where we place the needs of the patient and their family first.

The clinic is in Edmonton at the corner of 142 St and 102 Ave in a new building, a pleasant environment within easy reach of cafes and shops, good public transport options and plenty of parking spaces.

Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities: Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries.

Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone and email.

Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying physician of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding physician if we are running late .

Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.

Ensures availability of treatment information in an electronic medical chart Med Access (Telus) Maintains business office inventory , laundry and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.

Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.

Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical and personal information.

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and notifying if changes are required.

Rooming patients, cleaning rooms (according to COVID prevention guidelines) between patients.

Entering demographic patient information into ECG machine and PACS systems.

The Clinic hours are from 8:30 am until approximately 3:30 pm on Monday and Friday and 8:30 am until approximately 7:30 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday depending on urgent referrals.

For the suitable applicant flexible hours would be considered.
