Human Resources Coordinator

Our client is an innovative company that is seeking a self-efficient person, who is comfortable working in a unionized environment, to join their human resources team. 


Under the supervision of the HR Director, the job consists of:


Planning and managing the staff in accordance with the existing collective agreement.

Being the person resource in managing the employee benefits.

Handling the requests for days off, vacation, extended sick leave and managing the return to the job.  

Writing job postings and making sure to follow the policies for new positions.

Confirming that the schedules match the current procedures while keeping in mind employee seniority and current standards.

Creating and keeping the employee files up to date.

Validating the employees’ time sheets.

Being the person resources for the payroll and replacing the paymaster (vacation or absences).

Managing the employees’ group insurance files.

Making sure to send memos and other communications relating to HR.

Respecting the 1% training.

Always working with the other departments.

Any other tasks required for the position.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position

Be comfortable in a unionized environment.

Extensive knowledge in the suite Office.

Knowledge in JDE and Kronos, an asset.

Excellent French, both spoken and in writing. 

Excellent English.
