Reporting to the Enterprise IT Operations Director and being a key member of the Corporate IT team, you will be responsible for resolving end-user and computer-related tickets, from various offices in the Quebec province, as well as other remote sites.

Physically working from our Downtown Montreal Headquarters, the individual fulfilling this role will have the opportunity to work with various delivery teams and expand his/her skillset of our various services and solutions and directly contribute to improving service quality and employee satisfaction. As such, you will be heavily relied upon to contribute to the Enterprise IT Operation team through:

  • Level 1 end-user and computer support (tickets not resolved by the helpdesk);
  • Maintain accurate end-user asset information;
  • Perform onsite duties in support of other support teams (onsite assistance);
  • High quality customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

To be successful, the Senior Deskside Support Technician will need to fulfil and master the following responsibilities in striving to meet the above endeavours:

 

  • Efficiently troubleshoot end-user and computer tickets, for end-users located anywhere in the world;
  • When required, travel to various offices to resolve issues (Montreal, Quebec and Gatineau);
  • Be available on an ad-hoc basis, evenings and weekends;
  • Create and maintain:
    • installation instructions and relevant end-user/computer documentation;
    • asset information (ticket associations, user assignments, asset state, location, etc.);
  • Assist employees with using Enterprise IT Solutions such as printing, scanning, fax or Office;
  • Perform onsite duties in support of other support teams (assist with onsite support tasks such as disconnecting/ connecting cables or typing commands on server prompt, checking power);
  • Assist Management in coordinating efforts and projects;
  • Provide VIP support to upper management.

Does this sound like you?

  • College degree;
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a related field;
  • Experience with MS Excel and reporting;
  • CompTIA A+ certification (or other related certification);
  • ITIL v3 certified;
  • Experience with Freshservice is a plus;
  • Excellent diagnostic skills (ability to diagnose an issue/situation quickly and efficiently);
  • Demonstrated autonomy and resourcefulness to resolve issues (remotely and onsite);
  • Team player and problem solver with with the capacity to think outside the box;
  • Capacity to work autonomously and proactively.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and manage priorities;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to speak and write (professionally) in French and English;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
