Bilingual Bid/Costing Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted March 10, 2018.

As a Bid/Costing Specialist you’ll be processing requests generated by the sales floor.  Bid/Costing Specialists will support their respective sales team and contribute to meeting sales targets and increasing profitability.  You’ll be engaging both vendors and suppliers to leverage pricing programs and other tools and resources. 

What you’ll do at Insight: 

  • Teamwork. You’ll work with a team of Account Executives to help increase their revenues and profits. 
  • Update the Bid Department’s Intranet page by posting the most up-to-date price lists, program information, and promotional collateral. 
  • Verify orders for accuracy of pricing in terms of a rebate and distribution cost. 
  • Obtain pricing support for sales quotes via vendor and/or distribution partners. 
  • Investigate refused claims and recoup funds with the Rebate Specialists. 

What you’ll need to join Insight: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Business Administration or related study.  
  • At least three to four years of related experience and/or training. 
  • Previous experience working as a Buyer in the IT industry preferred. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences; sales, marketing, partners, clients, consultants, executive leaders (internal and external).
