Analyst Support to Traders

If yes! Take note of this opportunity! Three (3)positions areavailable in the Transactional Support-MBS and Money Market team especially in MBS

Within this Financial Markets Operations (OTC) business line, which includes approximately 70 employees, you will work as a support analyst for traders with several partners who are committed to the success of the financial markets. You will be on the front line, supporting our traders by providing quality support, constantly bringing ideas for efficiencies, automation, and training to the team. In addition, you will be the custodian, with the team, of our processes and procedures which are constantly evolving, given the new business opportunities and the different initiatives.

The team’s mission is to contribute to the success of financial markets through leading expertise and sound operational risk management.

More specifically, you will:

  • Support your colleagues in their day-to-day work with multiple requests
  • Directly support the traders and salespeople of complex products
  • Ensure the proper representation of the various financial transactions engaged by our traders in our various systems
  • Analyze the discrepancies
  • Contribute to the optimal integration of new products and other regulatory and/or technological requirements in our current activities
  • Participate in the various phases of analysis and testing to ensure efficient delivery of the various projects
  • Develop and produce, upon request, statements of derivative positions for various partners (counterparties, auditors (internal and external), credit, managers…)
  • Update and optimize existing processes and procedures.

Required skills:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree, related to the industry, and one year of relevant experience or completed, or undergraduate degree and three years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of derivative products in general
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft and Excel software (VBA, Macros, pivot tables, dynamic tables, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure, quickly but rigorously. Ability to work in a team, ability to communicate ideas well
  • Bilingual (spoken/written) French and English; essential

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in capital markets operations
  • Experience in problem solving on irregular and complex financial transactions
  • Knowledge of Murex, Swift, ISM, Bloomberg, or Reuters systems
  • Challenge the status quo
  • Versatile, resourceful, proactive and above all have a curiosity to learn.
