Administrative Assistant

National Bank

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted September 7, 2023.

A career as an Administrative Assistant in the Structured Products team at National Bank means acting as an expert within the sector to support those involved in legal matters. You’ll be responsible for carrying out and coordinating specific stages of various projects, and will participate in the preparation of various legal and other reports and documents, as well as invoicing. This job will enable you to have a positive impact on our organization, thanks to your administrative skills and your ability to work with great rigor and attention to detail.

Your job

  • Support the team at all levels, including mailings, printing, room and flight reservations, etc.
  • Participate in the billing process, including review and preparation of spreadsheets.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of structured products, including circulation of documents and internal and external follow-ups.
  • Develop procedures and processes for the implementation and management of structured products in order to increase efficiency.

Your team

As part of the Transactions and Specialized Products sector, you will be part of a team of 11 lawyers and analysts, reporting to the Director, Transactions and Specialized Products. Our team stands out for its efficiency, availability, expertise, creativity and dynamism. Our team works on a daily basis with the various financial engineers who structure our financial products.

Customized training content on various subjects is available to support your ongoing development. Access to colleagues with different expertise, experience and profiles will also enrich your development.

Basic requirements

  • DEC or DEP in secretarial or Office System Technology
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in financial markets or desire to learn
  • Aptitudes with technologies, different applications and other operating systems such as Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Organized, motivated, meticulous and autonomous
  • Good team spirit and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingualism French/English required, as you will frequently be in contact with colleagues or partners who speak a language other than French, in addition to documentation in both languages.
