ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK

DEPARTMENT: Reporting to the Accounting and Programs Departments; this position will be working closely with the Accountant and the National Program Coordinator.

DATE OF POSTING: November 23, 2018

TYPE: Contractual – seasonal – Ending April 30th, 2019

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary responsibilities are to bring clerical support to the Accountant and National Programs Coordinator, in tasks such as:

  • Perform data entry, including the accounting system and database;
  • Assist in accounts payable tasks, including validation of invoices, verification/coding of credit card statements, processing of payments (cheque or electronic), etc.;
  • Assist in accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, payment processing, etc.;
  • Assist with member registration transfers, cancellations and refunds;
  • Assist with online store activities, including processing orders, invoicing, updating online store items, etc.;
  • Communicate with members, vendors and partners;
  • Prepare parcels for shipping related to the online store and course material;
  • Conduct additional tasks that may be required from time to time.

  • Possess very good communication skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our members and various industry partners/suppliers.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, work effectively in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative while also being able to work well independently.
  • Detailed oriented.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Accounting diploma (DEC or similar) or the equivalent work-related experience with basic accounting knowledge.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of SAGE Accounting Software would be an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The CSIA National Office provides a dynamic work environment. Workloads vary depending on deadlines and volume of work.

Remuneration: Between $15.00 and $17.00/per hour (according to experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 h 30 à 16 h 30. The schedule may vary depending on the workload.
