Job Summary: We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits Division.

You’re an experienced professional looking to join a team of dynamic coworkers and collaborators.

In this role, you will be responsible for plan review and market surveys, new group plan implementation, annual renewal and plan modification negotiations, employee meetings, special projects and client services.

Job type:Full-time positionJob hours: Thirty-five (35) hours per week, seven (7) hours per day, Monday – FridayLocation:Vancouver, BCStart Date:As soon as possiblePosting and Closing Date:February 9th, 2021 – Open until filledKey Responsibilities:Plan Reviews: reviews current employee benefit plans and prospect plans, analyzes plan designs and prepares client reports (including plan design alternatives)Market Surveys: gathers employee census information, prepares and sends market surveys, compiles data and develops reports for clients with survey results and recommendationsNew Group Plan Implementation: secures historical data from providers, prepares and reviews new plan documents, submits documents for processing, collaborates with plan administrators and assists with online trainingAnnual Renewal and Plan Modification Negotiations: liaises with respective insurers to conduct financial review of client renewals, plan modifications and negotiations, in partnership with AdvisorsNew Administrator (Procedure Review): meets new plan administrator and provides the appropriate training tools and contact details applicableSpecial Projects: assists in preparation of unique reports, assembles client statistics, provides marketing support, attends promotional events, organizes insurer updates and internal tools, in partnership with AdvisorsClient Services: supports administrative contract and claim inquiries, generates client letters, liaises with insurance carriers, maintains current client records and assists with work overloads during absences, vacations, etc.Qualifications and Competencies:Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar roleMust possess LLQP Life Insurance license (or willing to obtain within 6 months of start date)CEBS courses an assetStrong group benefit and insurance background (preferably in a brokerage or consulting environment)Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication and time management skillsAdvanced skills in Microsoft OfficeAdditional Information: ZLC Financial is not your typical financial services firm.
