Senior Financial Analyst


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted July 17, 2019.

Nuvei is looking for an energetic, hands on and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team based in our head office in Montreal.

Reporting into the Director of FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will be accountable for working with Channel VP’s to perform all aspects of technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.

Duties/Responsibilities Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.

Meets with department managers to establish timelines and methodologies for completing budgets.

Researches and compiles data to forecast and prepare annual and monthly budget projections for a division or similar group of organizations.

Tracks revenue and expenses monthly, comparing actual to forecasted figures and makes necessary adjustments.

Prepares reports for management summarizing results of research, analyses and evaluation of any discrepancies.

Gathers and analyzes current data to aid in estimating future expenditures.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications (skills/experience) Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required​; 5 years of accounting or finance experience required; Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures and standards; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to analyze and solve problems using necessary techniques and tools; Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality; Demonstrated ability to plan and work to ensure critical deadlines are met; Ability to create spreadsheets and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public.

Working Language English (written and spoken) is the language used 99% of the time, as work colleagues and clientele are both geographically dispersed within and outside of Quebec.

Internal communications between colleagues occur in English or in French, depending on the parties involved.

Strategic suppliers are located outside of Quebec.

A basic knowledge of French is required for any position located within Quebec.

English is required for this position, as it could report to someone outside of Quebec, and requires frequent out of province communications.
