Addenda Capital is currently looking to hire a Senior Credit Analyst, Corporate Bonds* for a permanent position in our Montreal office (*The position level may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications).

As a member of the Fixed Income Team and under the supervision of the Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income & Co-Head, Corporate Bonds, your main responsibility will be to provide deep fundamental credit research, focusing on the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.  In addition, you will assist in developing and implementing the investment management strategies for corporate bonds and overall fixed income.


  • Lead the fundamental research analysis on issuers within the Energy and Infrastructure sectors and formulate investment recommendations;
  • Produce research reports and develop tools to further enhance the effectiveness of decision making capabilities;
  • Work within a team environment to develop the ongoing fixed income strategy for Addenda Capital’s corporate bond investments;
  • Contribute to the management of fixed income portfolios;
  • Establish strong relationships with the senior management of issuers within the Energy and Infrastructure space as well as key industry players;
  • Participate in weekly corporate bond strategy meetings;
  • Collaborate in the elaboration of the Active Duration Fixed Income strategy;
  • Cooperate in the quarterly forecast and asset mix process;
  • Participate in the Mortgage Credit Committee;
  • Contribute to reporting requirements for specific clients;
  • Represent Addenda Capital in varying capacity within the investment community such as the sell-side, issuers, rating agencies, consultants, etc.


  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering as well as 5 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration;
  • CFA or accounting designation is required;
  • Considerable knowledge of the Energy sector and regulation, as well as project finance is essential for this role;
  • Rigorous, disciplined approach to analysis;
  • Collaborative team player;
  • High degree of initiative, leadership and resourcefulness is required;
  • Effective communications skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and French.
