Payroll Technician

Our client, located in Montreal, is looking for a Payroll Technician specialized in managing accounts and payroll transactions. You will play a key role in the financial operations of the company by ensuring precise and timely payments to employees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks related to payroll and human resources.
  • Review timesheets and follow up with managers to complete employee records.
  • Process registrations, hires, and terminations.
  • Welcome new employees and manage their departures (Records of Employment, benefits enrollment, etc.).
  • Enter employee data (covering approximately 30 stores).
  • Update, file, and organize employee records (forms, HR documents).
  • Generate reports from NETRIX and Agendrix software, ensuring they function properly for payroll purposes.
  • Handle Canadian payroll processing (over 500 employees).
  • Produce reports and analyses in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Work closely with managers and internal teams.
  • Conduct post-payroll follow-ups, including adjustments and placements as needed.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of payroll-related processes.
  • Perform any other related duties.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll deductions and Canadian payroll standards.
  • DEC in administration or accounting, with payroll training.
  • Strong interest in the payroll field.
  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Familiarity with payroll tools (Netrix, Agendrix, or equivalent).
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Ability to complete documents in English.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (approximately 50% of daily communication in English).

Salary: 60000.00-65000.00
