Payroll Analyst

Fed Finance

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted November 8, 2021.

We are therefore looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic team. Under the responsibility of the Payroll Supervisor, the incumbent will have to prepare and produce the complete payroll cycle on a weekly basis, in addition to producing and updating various reports.

Administrative tasks :

Prepare and produce weekly payroll for unionized CCQ and non-unionized employees using Le Constructeur software;
Produce the CCQ report as needed;
Work closely with the various departments during the implementation of the ”Nethris” payroll software for all subsidiaries
Produce and update the various reports, files and requests relating to employees;
Prepare documents such as the record of employment; end of month, end of year and preparation for Q4 and R1;
Carry out special projects related to the payroll service;
Actively participate, through their attitude and behavior, in developing and maintaining a respectful, harmonious and stimulating work atmosphere for all;
Collaborate with all colleagues and promote teamwork;
Perform their work with rigor and integrity;
Work with respect for the culture and values of the company;

Analyze complex issues related to payroll data;
Study and prioritize requests for improvement and implementation of the payroll application;
Suggest recommendations and provide solutions;
Perform tests during the implementation of a new configuration, implementation of software in the payroll department;
Identify, during a configuration change, the impacts on the system and validate the results;
Update or implement work procedures taking into account the changes made;
Regularly train users and provide them with ongoing support; and
Issue operational control reports.
Hold a university degree in accounting or administration, or any other equivalent training;
Experience in implementing a Payroll module or a member of the Canadian Payroll Association (important asset);
Understand how payroll works;
Master office tools (Excel, Word, etc.);
Take an interest in technological developments;
Know payroll software and modules (eg: Nethris);
Express yourself perfectly both written and spoken;
Autonomous and discreet;
Organized and rigorous;
Ability to work in a team;
Critical and analytical mind.


Salary: 65000-80000
