Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance officer of payroll department works closely with various sectors of the Human Resources Department and the Accounting Department.The Finance officer of payroll department:Plans, supervises, controls and evaluates activities related to the preparation, auditing and distribution of payroll in accordance with collective orders, fiscal or other laws, policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines of the facility and the Department of Health and Social Services; Designs, analyzes, evaluates and provides professional techniques related to payroll operations in order to ensure sound financial management; Provides consulting support to managers in the budgetary follow-up related to payroll.

He/she works in synergy with the accounting department in order to fulfill the objectives and mission of the Finance department, including the planning and budgetary monitoring of salaries and benefits.Academic KnowledgeBachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant academic discipline such as accounting and finance Canadian Payroll Association certification (an asset)ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a payroll departmentExperience in data managementExperience with Logibec payroll software (an asset)Required skillsAbility to set priorities and meet tight deadlinesOrganizational skills, resourcefulness, proactivity and ability to adapt to a growing organizationSense of autonomyRigor and professional judgmentAbility to take charge of a project and see it through to completionExcellent analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsInterest in process improvement and innovationExcellent interpersonal and teamwork skillsBilingual in French and English, written and oral Proficiency in Excel softwareKnowledge of public sector pension plans (RREGOP, RRPE, etc.) and CSST legislation considered an asset.Working conditions Full time, permanent position (35h/week).24.46$ 40.98$ per hourSame working conditions and benefits as those of the health network (4 weeks vacation, the pension plan (RREGOP), group insurance, etc.); plus free parking or reduction on an annual public transport pass.
