GENERAL SUMMARY:The General Accountant is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate day to day processing of the Accounting Records to ensure an efficient, accurate and updated financials and systems in place, The General Accountant is responsible for performing daily accounting duties, including but not limited to with an emphasis in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable, Expense Tracking, Various Account Reconciliations and Schedules / Reports to comply with deadlines,quarter end and year end reporting.

Prepare working papers for year end review.

Responsibilities and Duties: Perform the full cycle month-end and quarter-end closing as per the Company Financial schedule including but not limited to: revenue reconciliation by business line, b.

COGS reconciliation by business line, c.

inventory reconciliation with Logistics vs.

GL and d.

accounts receivables reconciliation AR module vs GL.

Prepare monthly account / bank reconciliation Bank.

Manage / Accountable for accounts receivable.

Proper collections procedures.

Generate age analysis.

Monitor and diarize customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities and follow up with whom required.

Prepare and file tax remittance.

Prepare and coordinate deposit activities.

Regular accounts receivable status report meeting.

Process adjustments and credits with proper authorization.

Code to corresponding general ledger and cost centre and process accounts payable invoices.

Prepare monthly cheese run including manual cheques as requested.

Track; verify with company guidelines and process staff expenses reports.

Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

Prepare Quarterly intercompany Reconciliation with Affiliated Companies.

Assist with the preparation of the monthly report (Flash), the Quarterly Report (Management Reporting), the Forecasts and the Budget.

Follow proper accounting methods, policies and principles that conform to local GAAP.

Assist in meeting financial accounting objectives.

Assist with Ad hoc projects as assigned by the CFO and / or Controller, as well as by supervisors / managers.

Maintain records, filling and general administrative duties as requested and required.

Assist in budget and forecast preparation.

Prepare working papers for year end external review.

Qualifications and Skills
· Preferred, diploma / degree in Accounting / Finance / Business from a recognized post-secondary institution.

· A minimum of three years demonstrated and related experience in accounting and finance capacity.

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office applications skills required.

· Oracle EBS knowledge preferred or ERP experience.

· Microsoft Great Plans knowledge a plus.

· Must have an in-depth knowledge, understanding and ability to interpret regulatory and compliance matters.

· Outcome oriented and ability to flawlessly translate the strategic plan into actionable tactical plans to achieve business objectives.

· The ability to work effectively with people in a diverse environment where change and flexibility is essential as well as independently.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to effectively use verbal and written communication.

· Sound business judgment.

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

· Ability to work overtime during reporting or year end if and as needed.
