One of our major banking clients is looking for a Bilingual (French) Loan Process Specialist (Lending, Credit & Bank exp.) Length: Contract term is 12 months with a possibility of extension Working Location: Montreal, QC (Work from Home for the time being & Training will be done onsite) LOB: Commercial Lending Operations Hours: standard business hours
– 8-4pm, 37.5 hrs/week, Monday-Friday Role Mandate: This group manages back-office operations around automotive financing
– in particular managing the business between dealerships (not individual customers) and out bank.

They are responsible for overseeing the processing and fulfillment of automotive and leases and real estate loans, as well as portfolio monitoring support in a professional and timely manner.

They will also have a large team to lean on and partner with -both in the back office and with account managers, who they will work closely with.

The team is large (30 people total).

The role also presents the opportunity to work remotely
– if the team does return to the office, it will be on a part time basis only.

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
– Facilitates the loan closing process, commitment management and the booking and accounting of the loan portfolio ensuring all required policies, guidelines and standards are met.

– Analyzes the credit documentation to the credit approval, structures the loan parameters on the lending system and communicates deal information to deal stakeholders and other relevant parties
– Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders, in addition to customers
– Tracks and monitors credit, legal and compliance documentation/collateral and participates in the follow up and escalation process when issues are identified.

– Partners closely with Credit Analysts to determine a customer’s viability to receive a loan
– this data would be available in their client portfolio
– Prices leases for clients on an ad-hoc basis, deriving data from client portfolios
– Updates internal spreadsheets (in Excel), capturing customer data and lease details
– Completes administrative activities to ensure the smooth operation of the unit; including scanning and filing documents as required.

Must-Have Skills:
– Bilingual
– French and English is a MUST
– MS Office Proficiency
– Outlook, Excel, Word
– Computer literacy is a must
– particularly as a remote worker
– Ability to, and propensity for, working in a fast-paced environment
– Strong business etiquette
– in the manner they communicate with customers and stakeholders
– Strong work ethic and commitment to their work product
– Strong multitasking skills Nice-to-Have Skills:
– Previous experience working as a servicing analyst
– specifically in retail or commercial banking spheres is a BIG plus
– Experience reviewing and analyzing loan documentation
– Experience working with proprietary banking systems
