Bilingual Account Manager- RBC Ventures (Smart Reno)

About Smart Reno

Smart Reno helps people find and compare qualified and available contractors for their renovation projects. We solve the pain of looking for the right contractors, by simply allowing clients to post their project and providing them with multiple pre-screened contractors, saving time and money. For contractors, we are an efficient and cost-effective client acquisition channel. 

 

What is the opportunity?

Managing a positive relationship with our network of contractors is very important to us. As an Account Manager for Smart Reno, you will be responsible for touching base with your assigned portfolio on a regular basis, to help them optimize their membership with Smart Reno. You should be comfortable with talking on the phone, excited about developing business relationships and passionate about keeping your portfolio engaged.

What will you do?

  • Establish business relationships with a network of contractors, build loyalty to our services and maintain a relationship based on trust
  • Become an expert on our product/s so that you can enable your contractors to optimize their membership and to keep them engaged
  • Communicate daily on the phone (inbound & outbound) with your assigned portfolio of contractors
  • Conduct the vetting process before onboarding, schedule/conduct their welcome calls, do regular check-ins via phone and email, and work with them to renew their membership annually
  • Update and maintain the pro profile in our internal database (CRM)
  • Follow-up with both contractors and clients to close the loop on submitted projects
  • Be comfortable presenting to our management team on the health of your portfolio

What do you need to succeed?

  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial account management (capacity to manage over 150 accounts a month)
  • Excellent communication skills (phone and email)
  • Comfortable with technology – can quickly learn our CRM, and use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and GoogleSuite
  • Self-starter and results oriented
  • Be a good listener, good at problem solving and be proactive
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and rigorous
  • Team-work oriented

 

Nice-to-have:

  • Sales and Business Development experience is an advantage but this is not a pure Sales role
  • Knowledge in home improvement field, a plus
  • A plus if you are bilingual and can speak French, as this allows you career flexibility to take on clients from Quebec, depending on portfolio growth.
