Assistant Controller


This is a Full-time position in Montréal, QC posted June 8, 2018.

Reporting to the controller, the assistant controller coordinates, analyzes and verifies financial information produced by Lemay.

His/her tasks will be assigned as follows :

  • Propose, develop and implement various policies, procedures and internal audits
  • Assist in the production of financial statements and other financial information
  • Maintain dashboards and the firm’s key performance indicators
  • Contribute to the development of annual budgets
  • Analyse and support budgetary processes
  • Deliver special projects (analyses, acquisition, contract negotiation, etc.
  • Supervise a team of accounting professionals and clerks.

  • University degree in accounting
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, or at an accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Strong French and English, written and spoken
  • Aptitude for teamwork
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, under tight deadline
  • Autonomy and initiative.
