Accounting Technician – Internal Controls

This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted April 30, 2022.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish the list of documents required for internal control certification work and follow up on requests with the various managers
  • Validate the documentation received by following the defined procedures and document the steps carried out while respecting the compliance requirements
  • Attesting to the effectiveness of the internal controls carried out by the organization according to the objectives set for each one and documenting the conclusions in an appropriate manner
  • Participate in the implementation of recommended improvements
  • Structure and coordinate audit work between internal teams and external auditors in accordance with defined deadlines
  • Collaborate with the various managers to ensure the maintenance of the documentation of internal controls (steps, reports used)
  • Support the team in the documentation of automated control tests
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Perform various tasks related to the certification of the control environment

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • College diploma in accounting
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of French and English (both oral and written),
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Minimum of one to three (1 to 3) years of experience
  • Good sense of planning and organization
  • Excellent ability to manage priorities and work in a team
  • Working method focused on meticulousness and rigor
  • Autonomy
