Account controller

Reporting to the Executive Vice-President Finance and Administration: the position’s main responsibilities include the financial management of the company. He/she is responsible for the management of investment and financing projects, shareholder relations for financial matters, and risk management.Specific responsibilities- Develop and implement a financial strategy, in collaboration with his/her team in each division, to meet the company’s objectives.

– Develop and implement a financial strategy, in collaboration with the team in each division, to meet the business objectives of the various branches;
– Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Finance and Administration Department, and provide active leadership within its departments;
– Analyze the financial performance of the company and its various branches, and propose solutions to maintain and develop the profitability of projects and investments;
– Establish, implement and monitor performance indicators (KPIs);
– Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of budgeting and accounting systems.
– Manage all financing and investment projects; develop and maintain excellent business relationships with financial institutions; and government.
– Participate in the analysis of acquisition opportunities and advise the company during audits;
– Prepare and present financial information to the Board of Directors, and advise the Board and senior management;
– Implement asset management and control mechanisms;
– Participate in the development of the organization’s global strategies, integrating the financial aspect;
– Manage and supervise the IT department.
– Manage cash flow to ensure that the company meets its financial obligations
– supervise the accounts payable and receivable department.

Profile required

– Bilingual spoken and written (French and English)
– Accounting degree
– 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position
– Up to date with new accounting technologies
– Comfortable with automation
